CASE/02 / Aviation
United StatesAirport ground operations, on a live map
Vehicle positions and mapped incidents in one operational view.
01 / THE ASK
The decision behind the brief.
Give a ground operations team across several US airports a live view beyond radio coordination.
02 / WHAT WE FOUND
What the work revealed.
Vehicles, luggage and incidents had no shared live location view. Radio-only coordination contributed to slow incident response and repeated miscommunication.
03 / WHAT WE BUILT
A live view beyond the radio.
One operational map
GPS, sensors and on-ground data streams feed a unified real-time dashboard. The team can see vehicle positions and live ground staff status.
Incidents in context
Runway obstruction alerts cover animals and stalled vehicles. Fence intrusions appear on the map. Zone-based guidance helps resolve vehicle routing conflicts.
Weather within the operation
Snow and heavy rain can trigger shutdown alerts. Forecast-based weather alerts remain part of the scoped next phase.
Placeholder for an approved, masked view of the delivered work.
04 / THE RESULT
Vehicle positions and mapped incidents in one operational view.
Ground operations now has a shared view of positions and mapped incidents, with alerts inside the operational workflow.
[CONFIRM: a defined incident response-time measure, if available]
SCOPED, NOT DELIVERED
Next phase
Scoped, not built: mobile field control, geofenced security events, forecast-based weather alerts, CCTV wildlife detection, GIS emergency routing and predictive maintenance.
